破·生 / Emergence

The moment a force meets its limit · a sculptural earring inspired by the Jiaoshi Yilin

A horn breaks.
It does not stop growing.

At the moment of contact, a horn bends and the form changes. Something is beginning to take shape — it has movement and force, but the way ahead is uncertain.

Around the pearl, one horn bends while the other holds its line. The difference makes pressure visible — and leaves a question: when the way resists us, what do we hold, what do we change, and where do we go?

"苍龙单独,与石相触。摧折两角,室家不足。"

——《焦氏易林·坤之屯》

"The lone dragon, alone, meets the stone — both horns break, the home falls short." — Jiaoshi Yilin, Kun zhi Tun

The source

Broken, not ended.

In the Jiaoshi Yilin, a solitary dragon meets stone and both horns break. Read alongside Zhūn — "Difficulty at the Beginning" — GORUNE finds not an image of defeat, but of emergence under resistance.

破·生 changes the source deliberately: one horn bends; one holds its line. What matters is not only what breaks, but what continues after it.

Wear it when the path is yours to make.

The house

Form, then meaning.

Not symbols on metal — the felt sense of a situation, an emotion, a piece of wisdom, translated into a form you can wear.

A piece must stand on its beauty alone. No story required before it can be loved — the deeper resonance is there for those who look for it.

GORUNE works with the wisdom of Chinese civilisation — read closely, worn lightly. The source is specific; the human experience is not.

The house is young, and the first work is still in development. If something here reads as yours, you will know where to find us.

Miss Gorune · Stories

She walks alone.
She is not alone.

Each GORUNE work begins with a cultural question. The stories of Miss Gorune carry it into contemporary life, where choices have consequences and answers are seldom complete. The first story grows from 破·生: a woman with the will to act meets something her strength alone cannot resolve.

  • She asked the question the room avoided.
  • She left what kept her small.
  • She is building what no one handed her.

If it is yours, it will recognise you.

破·生 is currently in development. Final materials, availability and pricing will follow prototype review.
